Qualifications •ARDMS certified or registry eligible in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or Vascular (RVT). Must pass Abdomen, OB/GYN and Vascular to become a Sonographer Level II •Sonographer Level II, III and IV are based on additional certifications in High Risk OB(HROB); Musculo-Skeletal; and/or Fetal Echocardiography.
Responsibilities •Provide quality patient care •Performs US exams, using good judgement in scanning, understanding all anatomical measurements, and documenting anatomy/pathology •Assists the Radiologists and other physicians with interpretation of exams. •Assists the Radiologists and physicians with US guided invasive procedures. •work closely with radiologists and other physicians. •Transports patients to and from department or other areas within the hospital. •Monitors and cleans US equipment and reports equipment malfunction to biomed and the supervisor. •Works toward the goal of quality assurance. •Works "on-call" after hours.
