Job Description


Our client provides a full range of external beam radiation therapy procedures. Equipment in use at the Odessa location includes: Varian TrueBeam, GE RT Lightspeed CT scanner, Elekta microSelectron HDR, Oncentra TPS for HDR treatment planning, Eclipse TPS, MOSAIQ ROIS, RadCalc, Mapcheck3, SNC Routine, IC Profiler, and 3DS scanning system.




NOTE:

Must be proficient in Oncentra Brachytherapy (T&O and Cylinders) from act sim to treatment. 

Physicist must be walking HDR experience. Specifically, the candidate needs experience with Nucletron Afterloaders and Oncentra Treatment Planning System with experience PLANNING AND TREATING single and multi-channel cylinders and tandem and ring patients.

We cannot accept someone that cannot communicate with the physician during patient simulation, independently plan an HDR case, QA and treat the patient, and ensure everything is documented correctly.

Responsibilities




Preferred Experience:
  • A working knowledge:
    • Varian linear accelerators 
    • Elekta/Nucletron microselectron HDR afterloader and Oncentra TPS
    • Eclipse TPS
    • ARIA and MOSAIQ Record and Verify system
    • HDR, SBRT and SRS procedures
    • Radiation Safety Officer duties for both x-ray registration and RAM licenses




Qualifications




The successful candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Medical physics from an accredited college or university
  • Graduate from a CAMPEP accredited residency program
  • ABR board certification (or equivalent)
  • Full Texas licensure
  • HDR planning and treatment experience
  • The ability to be added to the RAM license
  • Experience with SRS, SBRT, and HDR
  • Strong organization and oral / written communication skills
  • The ability to travel on an occasion, as needed, basis to support the sister clinic in midland, Texas (20 Miles)
