Job Description
The Director of Clinical Engineering is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of medical equipment and systems used in healthcare facilities. They will manage a team of clinical engineers and technicians to ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and meets regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement policies and procedures for the maintenance and repair of medical equipment
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines
Manage the budget for the clinical engineering department
Oversee the installation and testing of new equipment
Provide training to staff on the proper use and maintenance of equipment
Collaborate with other departments to ensure that equipment is integrated into the overall healthcare system
Stay up-to-date with new technologies and advancements in medical equipment
Manage and mentor a team of clinical engineers and technicians
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical engineering
Strong knowledge of medical equipment and systems
Experience managing a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with other departments
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to stay up-to-date with new technologies and advancements in medical equipment
