The Director of Clinical Engineering is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of medical equipment and systems used in healthcare facilities. They will manage a team of clinical engineers and technicians to ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and meets regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the maintenance and repair of medical equipment
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines
  • Manage the budget for the clinical engineering department
  • Oversee the installation and testing of new equipment
  • Provide training to staff on the proper use and maintenance of equipment
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that equipment is integrated into the overall healthcare system
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and advancements in medical equipment
  • Manage and mentor a team of clinical engineers and technicians
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical engineering
  • Strong knowledge of medical equipment and systems
  • Experience managing a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with new technologies and advancements in medical equipment
